Southbound Tree Project on Adams Ridge Boulevard
A friendly reminder: COMMON AREA PLANTING AND MAINTENANCE on ADAMS RIDGE BOULEVARD
The ARHOA board has both the responsibility and authority for the plantings and maintenance in the Common Area beds running along Adams Ridge Boulevard. The board is working with an independent Arborist to develop a 10 year plan with annual projects to return these beds and trees to good health. Homeowners are not permitted to plant trees, bushes flowers, etc. in these common areas. In addition, homeowners must submit alteration requests for planting trees on their property and show the locations on a plot plan so that the board can approve the request. No items are to be stored on any HOA common property and mulch beds including but not limited to wood, tools and miscellaneous items such as composting piles. Thank you.

Original Communication from 09/14:
The final scope of work for the southbound tree line has been established. There are currently 25 trees that have been marked with yellow caution tape that extend the length of Adams Ridge Boulevard to Arbor Drive. These 25 trees were identified as either having an impingement on other trees, are a safety hazard at risk of a potential fall onto resident or community property or suffer from infestation. There are both white pines and blue spruce trees that fall into one of these categories. Please note: this is a different set of trees from the original markings and plan of removing all of one type of tree.
The following timeline/project has been put into effect.

- Beginning the week of September 22nd, the identified 25 trees will be removed with a level cut at the bed line of each tree. The roots will not be removed.
- Within 2 weeks from the removal of the trees, weather permitting, new Norwegian Spruce trees will be planted appropriately to provide new growth without causing the same overcrowding. These plantings will not be in the exact spot of those removed, but placed in a more triangular setting to encourage larger growth, more covering and long term health.
- In addition, new bed material will be placed to cover the exposed cut tree roots and surround the newly planted trees.
