**IMPORTANT NEWS**
Snow Markers
Last Fall we had seen orange posts installed along the sidewalks by the township which were to be used to assist the township plows in knowing where our sidewalks were located. We had assumed that the township would remove this at the of the season. That did not occur. If you have any of these along your property line, please remove and discard them. We are unsure if the township will be doing this again next winter.
Shrub/Bush Maintenance – 6/22/23
Recently JML completed the spring shrub/bush trimming. We have received several complaints as to the poor job that was done. We have had this same issue in the past and have attempted to get JML to correct this by additional training for their employees. Apparently, this is not working possibly because many of their employees are new, and training is not being implemented. They are also using weed whackers which cannot be accurately used to properly trim with.
They have also trimmed budding and/or flowering bushes and shrubs which should not be touched.
At one point the board implemented an opt-out form for homeowners to submit. This did not work as there seemed to be a breakdown in the process of sending in the form to CCM, then sending it to JML, then onto the site manager and finally to actual employee doing the work. we are not sure where the breakdown occurred, but we tried for a couple years to get this worked out to no avail and the form was discontinued.
Due to these issues the board has decided to end this program to avoid further problems. Keep in mind that all shrubs, bushes, trees, and flowers are the homeowner’s their responsibility. Each year when the board does their annual walk, they will monitor them to ensure that that community esthetics are being met. you may receive a notice if these are not properly maintained or if they need to be removed and/or replaced. As everyone is aware costs of pretty much everything has increased over the past several months. Due to increased vendor fees the board had no choice but to increase the monthly fee by $5 beginning in February. We held the line during the year but we have tapped the reserve account several times to cover monthly expenses. The new monthly fee will be $35.
